Oh you have no idea how this impacted my sanity these past few weeks. Let me start out by saying that flies are everywhere, we all know that. And they can get into your place of living and buzz around your face acting like they own the place, I get it, we've all been there. Now imagine that one fly buzzing around your face along with all of its brothers and cousins and their estranged wife's nephew's best friend ALSO buzzing around your face, that is what I have dealt with for several weeks. I began to notice that there were quite a few flies inside my room alone and thought that it was quite odd until I began to look around my basement and saw that there were more than just a few flies living there. After a couple of days of living with my good fly pals, I decided that something needed to happen or I was going to lose my mind. I went to the store with my friend and got some fly traps to help put an end to the madness. We went back to my house and started going to town catching everything and anything that had wings living inside my house. By the time we got done catching all of the flies, there were almost sixty flies stuck between the two of our fly traps. I honestly wish I were kidding and I also wish this was the end of my story, but I quickly realized that is was only the beginning. After disposing the flies, my friend and I had a bonfire and went to bed. I was feeling pretty good about myself, I had gotten all of the flies, and I wouldn't have to deal with the little bastards ever again.

The next morning came around and something felt off. I went out to the main part of my basement and noticed that not only had the flies not been exterminated, but the nieces and second cousins of the estranged wife's nephew decided to move right on in. If I had both the money and balls, I would've just burned the house down right then and there, but alas, I don't have either. My friend and I got out our handy dandy fly traps and started hunting them down. I continued this process every single day for about a week and a half. It got to the point where I was yelling at my parents to call an exterminator. I had killed about twenty seven flies, yes I counted, the night before and had an actual mental breakdown about it. I remember texting my friends telling them that I can't take it anymore, they keep coming back, I'm just going to have to move out because the entitled assholes won. It wasn't until a couple of days ago that they finally stopped coming around. My dad had been taking a vacuum and sucking them off all of the windows, and eventually it all just... stopped. No one in my family had any idea as to where they were coming from, they must have been breeding somewhere inside my house which doesn't make me feel any better, but hey! They're finally gone... knock on wood. I can finally feel at peace for the most part when I go to bed, but I definitely feel a bit of post-traumatic stress anytime a fly buzzes around my face. So yeah, fortunately I did NOT burn my house down, but it might have made a better story...
